~ INTERNATIONAL SCENE ~
In Poland, skijoring is A GO in 2022!
Seven races are planned in the southern region, the Podhale,
where the Tatra Mountains provide ample snow.
At the heart is the ski resort of Zapokane.
The best known form of skijoring are horse races organised on the occasion of
'kumoterska gońba'
– a traditional mountain sledge parade and race held in the Podhale region.
Competitors take part in two types of entertainment:
skiring (a riderless horse) and ski-skiring (a horse guided by a rider)
16 January 2022 – Szaflary
23 January 2022 – Poronin
30 January 2022 – Biały Dunajec
6 February 2022 – Kościelisko
13 February 2022 – Bukowina Tatrzańska
20 February 2022 – Zakopane
