The Organizing Committees of the Qualifying Races listed above have given us the green light to announce their races officially.
We will not announce races without prior consent because we realize what an important decision public affiliation can be.
We thank the above races for their vote of confidence in SJUSA!
More race announcements to come!

The Advisory Committee has a new member!
Bruce Stott
Bruce has been a competitive skier in skijoring for nearly 20 years and has achieved Championship status time and again.
Bruce has prior experience serving on race organizing committees.
He has demonstrated an extraordinary ability to be a team player and has donated his time and expertise to races both old and new.
He has voluntarily participated in Leadville, Colorado track building for years, and supported races like Minturn, Colorado, Red River, New Mexico, Deadwood, South Dakota and Sundance, Wyoming in recent seasons.
We welcome Bruce's contribution to SKIJOR USA and the future of our sport.

Skijor USA's Advisory Committee
met today and discussed important issues such as
Responsible Growth
Rules & Regs
Divisions
&
The Skijor Hall of Fame
We are pleased to announce the establishment of
A Skijor Hall of Fame
and to pronounce
Jody Manly
as the first inductee
We have the blessing of Joe Manly, Jr.
who feels this is an appropriate way to honor his father's memory.
Our Advisory Committee voted unanimously
to begin our Hall of Fame with Jody whose name has become synonymous with the sport we all love. Jody stands alone as a legend and will affiliate with none other than himself since he was larger than life and breathed life into Skijoring in The USA.
An official bio will be posted and additional inductees will be announced shortly.

We thank Jody Manly for providing a "road map" for all of us
and Skijor USA is proud to follow his example.
It seems that some of the initiatives we have taken
are being instituted by other organizations as well (we predicted this!) and we hope that ultimately, this makes for a more cohesive skijoring environment.
Food for thought:
What Is Leadership?
"Leaders help themselves and others to do the right things. They set direction, build an inspiring vision, and create something new. Leadership is about mapping out where you need to go to "win" as a team or an organization; and it is dynamic, exciting, and inspiring.
Yet, while leaders set the direction, they must also use management skills to guide their people to the right destination, in a smooth and efficient way."
