OUR 20/20 VISION
Hindsight is 20/20 is a proverb that means it is easy to understand something after it has already happened.
Believe it or not, this phrase may not have been coined until 1986 in Australia. Leave it to the Aussies to come up with such a clever observation!
As for us at Skijor USA,
we all learned a lot during the 2019 season, and no, we did not do everything perfectly, nor did everything go as planned.
So we appreciate your patience with us, and we thank you for your feedback.
Now that we have one full season under our belt,
Skijor USA and its races and committee members can learn from
these experiences and apply practical solutions to make 2020 even better.
This is what teamwork is all about,
and we applaud all of you who exhibited this out on the track,
in committee meetings whether local or corporate,
and with our "silent athletes", your horses.

~ It's XX/XX-traordinary ~
Skijor USA’s first year is a wrap!
We successfully completed 10 Member Races, partnered with 5 National Sponsors, sustained 12 weekends of competition, hosted 100’s of competitors, crowned our first champions and acknowledged the hard work of scores of volunteers and local community members, businesses, towns and chambers.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED TO MAKE
THE 2019 SEASON A SUCCESS!

~ XX/XX-emplary service~
Our Advisory Committee met at least six times making important decisions.
Our Corporate Council and Organizers’ held monthly meetings.
As we head towards 2020,
we aim to build upon the progress we made in Year 1,
make adjustments where needed,
and expand what we have to offer equine skijoring overall.
It all begins with you!

~ remember to XX/XX-hale ~
We know that everyone is taking a breather now,
which is well deserved, and we are, too!
But since your voices are our guide,
we will send out a 2019 survey in time and ask for your participation.
In addition for asking you for more feedback, we will also be taking nominations for rider of the year, horse of the year, skier of the year, organizer of the year, announcer of the year and volunteer of the year
as well as for a new Hall of Fame inductee.

~ XX/XX-citing ~
As many of you know,
during the Skijor West / Skijor USA National Finals Championship,
two executive producers were shooting and interviewing competitors in preparation to do a possible show on equine skijoring.
Thank you to everyone who spent time with Doug and Simeon and made them feel so welcome.
We will share more about this partnership with SJUSA as it unfolds.
