NINE Qualifying Races are now officially on the roster
for the 2019 Skijor USA Alliance!
This week, we are VERY pleased to announce
Soldier Hollow, Utah
Skijoring Utah hosted their inaugural event in 2017
and it was an instant success attracting
a solid field of talented athletes
who competed on a fair, safe and challenging course.
Utah's 2019 race promises to be a STAND OUT event
and one you will surely not want to miss!

Note: This will be a Friday/Saturday race.)

Polson, Montana
February 16th & 17th
Polson is a beautiful town on the Flathead Lake
close to the Mission Mountains and Glacier National Park.
This new and exciting race will have a fun theme and
draw competitors from north, south, east and west!
Polson is centrally located and easily accessible from
Missoula, Great Falls, Wallace, Helena, Butte, Wisdom,
Bozeman, Whitefish and Kalispell.

Our regions are shaping up nicely
and we are ready to begin approaching sponsors!
Because of this, we are giving Qualifying Races a May 15 deadline
to join the Alliance or pass on 2019.
Associate Races will have more time to decide on affiliation.

Due to Skijor USA's interaction with Secretary Kerry,
we are now also connecting with
skiers of Olympic status and Warren Miller fame
who share common interests with our organization.
The endorsements that follow or the participation of these athletes in our SJUSA Alliance events will be GREAT publicity for our sport!
We are also working with noteworthy rodeo athletes
from barrel racers to bronc riders & steer wrestlers to bull riders
to help promote our sport.

Charities have been identified to create a common theme focusing on equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) and disabled ski programs geared primarily toward veterans of war.
If you know of programs in your area, please let us know!
Our goal at SJUSA is to make substantial contributions in the 2019 season.

Announcements regarding our point system, rules and regs and how to register as a competitor Nominating for Points towards Regional Championships and
a chance to race in the Championship Final in 2019 will be coming shortly
as will the announcement of the 2019 Championship Final venue.
